The Role:

As Operations Supervisor, you’ll be the ultimate utility player — supporting bar and front desk teams, organizing supplies, managing event setups and breakdown, and making sure every shift flows like a perfectly stirred cocktail. You’ll work closely with the Bar Supervisor, the Guest Experience Manager, and the Executive Meeting Manager to keep the Moxy vibe strong — from the lobby to the guest rooms to the event floor.

You’re not just a supervisor — you’re a connector, a fixer, and an energizer. Whether you’re helping plan an event, fixing a supply snag, or jumping behind the bar to help during a rush, your flexibility and attention to detail will help drive the Moxy experience forward.

What You'll Do:

Operations & Coordination

Oversee daily operations across the front desk, bar, and event spaces

Collaborate with department leads to ensure seamless communication and workflow

Monitor inventory and keep storage spaces organized and efficient

Step in to support front desk or bar teams during high-volume hours or callouts

Help track team performance and provide feedback or guidance when needed

Event Support & Group Execution

Support the Executive Meeting Manager to help execute meetings and events

Assist with ideation, planning, setup, execution, and teardown of hotel events

Create and prep signage, amenities, and collateral for incoming groups or corporate stays

Ensure and communicate with internal teams to ensure rooms, supplies, and spaces are ready

Support EMM by helping prep event collateral and room block materials

Be present during events as needed to support the team and enhance guest experience

Guest Experience & Service

Promote current events, pop-ups, and drink specials to guests in an upbeat, on-brand way

Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere where guests and locals feel like regulars

Jump in when needed to help with check-ins, bar service, or guest engagement

Marketing & Social Media

Manage Moxy Portland’s Instagram and social platforms with consistency and creativity

Create and schedule content that reflects our brand voice and hotel happenings

Engage with the online community — respond to DMs, comments, and tags

Create and execute events from start to finish

Design signage and promotional materials using Canva

Capture and edit photos and videos during events to use across digital platforms

Monitor engagement metrics and pitch new ideas to grow visibility and reach

Sales & Administrative Support

Support the Executive Meeting Manager with group sales files, signage, and event setup

Update shared calendars, print and prep Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), organize signage

Maintain marketing and supply inventory (flyers, drink menus, vendor signage, etc.)

Provide occasional support to front desk or bar during peak shifts or event overflow

Assist with supply orders, organizing storage, and restocking materials as needed

What You Bring:

Experience in hospitality, bar/restaurant, hotel ops, or event support (bonus if all)

Natural leadership energy — you know how to get people aligned and keep things moving

Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle tasks without losing your cool

Comfort with digital tools (Microsoft Office, POS, Canva, PMS, FOSSE, etc.)

A service-first mindset — always ready to step in, help out, and keep things flowing

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical ability to lift, bend, walk across the property, and help with setups

We are looking for part time, full time, temporary, associate and management level positions in Housekeeping, Front of house (bar/guest services), Facilities and Back of house operations and laundry. All positions will be expected to have availability on weekends and holidays.
