Moxy is the bold + distinctive lifestyle hotel in Downtown Portland. To revolutionize the category requires a lot of moxie, and we’re in search of a Front Desk Agent who thrives in the hustle, has personality to spare, and doesn’t mind wearing more than one hat at a time.

This isn’t your traditional front desk gig. At Moxy, you’ll do it all—checking in fun-hunters (that’s what we call our guests), pouring a drink behind the bar, helping housekeeping reset, answering the phone with style, and making sure our guests feel like VIPs at every turn.

Guest Experience & Service

• Greet every guest like they’re walking into the best part of their day.

• Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and all the little details with accuracy and flair.

• Solve problems like a superhero, flipping hiccups into unforgettable guest experiences.

• Share your local knowledge—point guests to the best food carts, bars, and Portland happenings.

• Keep the “Moxy Vibe” alive, whether at the desk, bar, or anywhere guests need you.

Operations & Teamwork

• Balance your time between front desk, bar, food service, and guest needs.

• Work side-by-side with housekeeping, engineering, valet, and other departments to keep the hotel flowing.

• Keep supplies stocked and systems running (property management, point-of-sale, Microsoft Office).

• Follow brand standards while delivering service with personality, not stiffness.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized space that matches our bold aesthetic.

Physical Expectations

• Stand, move, and multitask throughout your shift.

• Perform physical movements like bending, reaching, and lifting as needed.

• Use office and bar equipment with ease.

• Customer service pro—hospitality or food & beverage experience is a plus.

• Outgoing, bold, and quick on your feet.

• Strong communicator who listens as well as you talk.

• Knows how to manage time, stay organized, and handle challenges with a DIY attitude.

• Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.

• Self-motivated, stylish, and fun—someone guests (and the crew) want to hang out with.

• Training across multiple disciplines: bar, food service, kitchen, and front desk.
