Job Summary
As the Director of Revenue at the InterContinental MSP, you will lead the development, implementation, and execution of the hotel's revenue strategy. You will drive performance across all distribution channels by optimizing occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and overall RevPAR. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations, you will play a key role in shaping commercial strategy and maximizing profitability across all business segments. This role is both strategic and hands-on, with direct oversight of the reservations team and active participation in forecasting, budgeting, and pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Corporate Director of Revenue and Director of Sales to define and implement short- and long-term revenue strategies.
- Develop a comprehensive demand calendar and maintain accurate historical data to guide forecasting and pricing strategies.
- Set strategic goals and KPIs related to occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and profitability.
Revenue & Yield Management
- Optimize room revenue by balancing pricing strategies and inventory management across all market segments.
- Analyze daily and long-term booking trends, business mix, and market conditions to adjust pricing dynamically.
- Monitor competitor pricing and availability using market intelligence tools (e.g., Rate360, OTA insight, etc.).
- Produce and maintain a group yield planner to evaluate displacement and set group rates accordingly.
- Lead daily, weekly, and monthly revenue strategy meetings with key stakeholders.
Distribution & Channel Management
- Maximize exposure and revenue through all distribution channels including CRS, GDS, OTAs, and wholesale partners.
- Ensure up-to-date inventory and rate management across all systems, including PMS, RMS, and third-party platforms.
- Oversee daily availability updates, including free-sale charts, rate loading, and restriction settings for optimal sell-through.
Forecasting & Financial Analysis
- Generate accurate daily, weekly, and long-term forecasts by segment and channel.
- Lead the annual rooms budget process in collaboration with Finance and the Executive Team.
- Analyze key performance metrics (Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, Market Share) and deliver actionable insights.
- Evaluate profitability by account, group, and segment to support pricing and contracting decisions.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, motivate, and develop direct report of Reservations Coordinator.
- Provide regular training on revenue management principles, upselling, and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence by introducing staff incentives and performance coaching.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the main liaison between Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment of commercial strategies.
- Partner with IHG corporate revenue support and regional teams to leverage tools, systems, and best practices.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional yield meetings and commercial reviews.
Systems & Compliance
- Ensure optimal usage and accuracy of revenue management tools and systems (e.g., IHG tools, PMS, RMS).
- Maintain data integrity across reservations, statistics, and reporting platforms.
- Ensure adherence to brand, corporate, and ownership revenue guidelines and compliance standards.

- External: Regional Vice President of Revenue Performance for IHG, IHG Revenue Support, Distribution Partners, OTA Account Reps
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 3–5 years of revenue management experience in a full-service or luxury hotel environment.
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and pricing skills.
- Proficiency in hotel systems (PMS, CRS, GDS, RMS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
